Circling the toilet bowl

A single judge (briefly) halts California's global warming initiative (and slide toward economic ruin). I don't know what bothers me most: That an ill-informed electorate would vote to support such an ill-conceived, fraudulent and feckless program in the first place, or that one judge is able to dictate the course of an entire state with a single ruling.

Are we still a free people, or what? I fear what.

One commenter observed:

Mired in intractable debt, overrun with massive numbers of low-skilled, poorly educated and public resource consuming illegal immigrants, as icing on the cake, California has decided to "lead the country" with an economic suicide pact to solve a non-existent problem to mollify an entrenched private lobby and public bureaucracy of Gaia-worshipping know-nothings.

That conclusion was too perspicacious to ignore.
